What happened to the thriving Economy??

Let's take a look back to the times before the Military Dictators attempted the Coup. I was quite fortunate enough to see the thriving economy at that time, the cities were bustling as the economy was thriving and people actually have the chance to enjoy their life after working hours. Is not just about leisure and fun in the cities, but businesses bloomed and many foreign companies came in as they see great opportunities for growth within the country, hence creating many great opportunities for both young and old professionals in many sectors. Along with these great jobs, it also comes with a reliable package where one could support the families and have an easier daily life. Just a great time for the country, obviously it wasn't perfect nor rich like the other 1st world countries, but the economy was finally improving and poverty rates declines.

And now, let's all try to analyze the current economic situation under a year of Military rule. Needless to say, I am sure everyone around the world must have heard about the frequent power outages and many big foreign co-operations decide to leave the country. Plainly put, it was a total shitshow, and it all spiraled downwards in every damn sector of the country. I could not even find the right words to describe the agony that I felt while thinking about the current state of the country and comparing it with the times before.

Due to a group of greedy, ruthless, sadistic Military Rulers, a growing 3rd world country has fallen into the grounds where inflation and poverty have risen while the economy declines. And even to a point, most people have given up on the hopes of things going back to the way it was before and even got used to life, because that is all they could do at this very moment. While the people suffer every day from the struggles that the military regimes put the country under, the people that are in relation to the military regime are thriving and getting richer by the second. #PrayForBurma #FreeBurma
