Poverty has tripled or even quadruple

As mentioned in my previous article, the rate of poverty is skyrocketing as the economy declines. All types of businesses shut down due to the situation under military rule. There were too many restrictions against all types of businesses, and especially worse when you are not supporting them, they made up all kinds of charges to seize the property or worse even put you in jail. That being said, I could go on and on about how things are bad down there, and it is no good news about it. But one important factor is that poverty has risen to a point where it has almost tripled or even quadrupled.
It is a major issue that needs to be addressed by the UN and ASEAN, to really aid the country by sending more help and trying to revert the situation back to the way it was before, and giving the people back power.
It is not just due to the country being under military rule, as well as the Covid Pademic the people are struggling day by day. The world needs to do more than just sanction the military government and send aid to the people.
